Question: Can you discuss some of the traffic laws that are different for CDL drivers and those who hold standard licenses in Wisconsin?

Answer: If a person gets a drunk driving and has a commercial drivers license, there’s a one-year commercial drivers license disqualification for a first offense. There would only be a six- to a nine-month revocation of the regular drivers license, but a federal one-year CDL disqualification. There is a lifetime CDL drivers license disqualification for a second or subsequent drunk driving offense.
