Question: How long does a new Wisconsin resident have to get a Wisconsin drivers license?

Answer: For a regular license, a Class D, and or a motorcycle license, which is a Class M license, a new resident is required to get their Wisconsin license within 60 days of moving to or establishing residency in Wisconsin. However, if a person has a commercial drivers license—which is a Class A, B, or C license—then you are required to get your license within 30 days of moving to Wisconsin.
