Attorney Diego Romero graduated from Bradley University with a double major in Political Science and Economics. He attended Marquette University Law School.
As a law student, Attorney Romero dedicated himself to serving underrepresented communities. He participated in the Rural Summer Legal Corps (RSLC) Fellowship program, where he interned with Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Farmworker Project. He also volunteered at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinics throughout law school, where his bilingual abilities, professionalism, leadership, and compassion helped many members of the community obtain the legal services they needed.
Attorney Romero graduated from law school with more than 200 hours of pro bono service. He was named to the Association of American Law Schools Pro Bono Honor Roll during his second year of law school in 2024. He was also selected as the Outstanding Public Interest Law Student for Marquette University Law School in 2025, following his second year.

During his second year of law school, he interned for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, where he gained valuable experience drafting bench memoranda and observing appellate proceedings. He also interned at the City of Brookfield City Attorney’s Office during his final year of law school.
While at the City Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted OWI, drug possession, disorderly conduct, theft, retail theft, solicitation related to sex work, traffic, underage drinking, and other municipal code violations, including building inspection and fire alarm matters. These experiences cultivated his attention to detail and strengthened his skills in negotiation.
Attorney Romero is a member of the National College for DUI Defense. He is admitted to practice in all Wisconsin state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
